EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE

Go Rail is an Estonian company based on private capital, whose main areas of activity are the provision of freight transport services on railways and maintenance and refurbishment of locomotives and rail construction machines. We also offer shunting services in stations, terminals and on industrial railways. Our rolling stock fleet consists from various types of locomotives and wagons. We carry out rolling stock maintenance, repairs and conversions at our depot in Maardu. We have more than 100 years of experience in the railway sector. In everyday business, we value sustainable management, the environment and safety. We are reliable partner for our customers, as evidenced by the ISO 9001 quality management system certificate issued to us.

1870


 Go Rail traces its history back to 1870, when the Baltic railway was completed and train transport became available between Estonia and Russia.

1992


The state-owned company Estonian Railways (Eesti Raudtee, EVR) was set up to manage the country’s railways.

1998


Joint undertaking EVR Ekspress was established on the basis of EVR’s international passenger transport department, with its principal activity being the operation of international train paths.

2005


Go Group acquired the EVR Express’ shares, the company was merged with group and renamed Go Rail.

2019


We expanded our operations by introducing rail freight carriage.

2021


We opened a training centre to educate a new generation of train drivers and provide further training.

TRAINING CENTRE

Go Rail’s training centre offers general training for train drivers, certification training for train drivers and periodic further training for train drivers for certificate renewal. The activities of the training centre are licensed by the Ministry of Education and Research.

MEMBER OF GO GROUP

Go Rail is a member of the Go Group, whose five main business areas are: railway, public transportation, national defence, real estate and tourism. In addition to rolling stock management and freight carriage, the group also deals with railway repair and maintenance and freight logistics.
